I've been trying to find a good smelling deodorant that is not toxic. I have recently been doing a lot of research on the toxicity there is in usual deodorants and it's scary to think about it. Drugstore deodorants are filled with aluminum, which is a toxic chemical that is absorbed through the pores of your underarms and taken into your bloodstream. Average deodorants also affect your hormones, promote cell mutation, and increases the risk of cancer. Of course, this doesn't happen to everyone and it is not my intent to scare you, BUT on the bright side, there is a solution between the battle of smelly underarms and deodorants: Natural deodorants. Not only are natural deodorants now easily available, a lot of them (all of them I should say) are free of toxic chemicals.
After I read all this information I knew I needed a new deodorant. I didn't know where I was going to get it nor what I wanted until I went out not too long ago and wondered into LUSH. I had heard about this brand but I never truly paid attention. BUT let me tell you, I'm glad I walked in. All their products are natural, handmade, and cruelty-free! Additionally, the store is super cute inside (which was a big yes for me gurl) and had lots of little helpful signs and beautiful colors.
So to battle my underarm war, I bought the Aromaco deodorant about a little over a week ago and have used it ever since. At first, I thought it smelled a little weird, but after a while, I truly enjoyed the smell. It's not sweet but it smells clean and pleasant (different). It's a smooth silky bar that should be wrapped in paper all the time, otherwise, it loses its humidity and softness. There is one thing though, sometimes it can be a little rough to put on. If this happens, I found it best to smudge the bar with my finger to soften it, I then apply it with no hassle. When I use this, I put a decent amount before leaving home and head to work/school. Of course, it has been extremely hot here in LA, but even after 4-5 hours, I can still smell the deodorant working on my skin. I am always so delighted to smell good and truly feel good. I Have combated the evil forces of team smelly!

At the store I also got a sample of a powder deodorant named The Greeench. To apply this powder all that needs to be done is to pad the product on the underarm with your hand. I must warn you, this powder one is SUPER strong and smells like mint. So if you sweat a lot and can't control that beast, I would definitely recommend this deodorant. Aside from that, it also serves as a touchup just in case you have a long day. I only used it once and BOY did this last the entire day. I truly felt fresh and clean.
Although these cosmetics are not cheap, they are definitely in an affordable price range. And to be honest, I would rather invest in natural products that I know are not affecting my health. I would definitely recommend buying Amoraco. They sell a bigger bar, but I'm sure this one that I have will last me a while.
