The Alchemist

I have just started reading the book the Alchemist, by Paulo Coelho, and I believe that it is one of the best decisions I have made. This book was given to me by a mentor in school. At first, I wasn't sure if I  really wanted to read this book, however once I started reading the first pages I COULDN'T STOP.
What I love about this book is its simplicity of being understood. It provides so much wisdom that I am now regarding it as a person (I am not too crazy, RIGHT?). Although I am still not finished with this book - I will almost be done- I have found my most favorite quote. This quote relates so much to me, as well as many others, that it has become one of my mottos and inspirational thoughts. It goes "When you really want something, the universe always conspires in your favor" no one could have said this any better. It is the most simple and inspiring sentence that I have read in a very long time.
When I read this quote I can't help but think that what I do every day will contribute to my dream. I truly want to be a photographer that captures the beauty of life, and by doing this i am sure that little by little I will accomplish that dream. It might not happen as fast as I perceive it will but it will take me on journeys I had never thought about. It will teach me lessons in life that I would've otherwise never learned. The time and dedication we invest in everything we do truly matters.
So remember, when something is truly meant to be for you and you truly want to achieve it, it WILL happen. The universe is in our favor, never take that for granted.
