Spring Break

Spring break finally arrived and I immediately decided to take a trip to northern California to visit a dear friend of mine: Adriana. While we are both in college right now, I enjoy her company and sarcastic character. Northern California is such a diverse place crowded with beautiful and intimating places and people.
I certainly do not know any of these people, but the unexpected feeling of being in a different place from what our body is usually used to happened to me during this trip. The dislocation of my sense of self and my comfort zone was definitely altered by coming to Oakland and San Fran. Staying here for a few days really changed my perspective of what it means to feel comfortable and what it takes to actually be adventurous.
Berkley Really looks like a forest in which I could possibly get lost in. I guess if I went there I would make the excuse of getting lost in the woods...that would be believable right? I think so.
After hitting Berkeley I visited San Fran and decided to go to the Exploratorium. It was so amazing! San Fran is truly a crowed interesting place. There was also a lot of food that looked extremely delicious, I just wish I could have bought it.
I will not proclaim that I am the most risk-taking explorer --although that will certainly be my dream job at National Geographic-- but I enjoyed walking around San Fran looking at the diversity of people that inhibit this place. On a side note, I totally looked like a complete tourist (with my camera and my lost stares), but I enjoyed every single moment of it. Thank God I took scarfs, them precious babies always save me.
Happy Wednesday,
MB
