It was a rainy day when I ate this delicious food. I was sitting outside and the weather was perfect for some time of reflection. I often spend a lot of time thinking about the my plans and other things. Yes, I think a lot, sometimes too much! But I think it is always good to have "ME TIME"
What do I mean by that? Well, if you haven't spent an hour or two getting a cup of coffee at a cafe or simply a small meal by yourself, then I think you should. Here is why.
When you take some time out of your day to be just with yourself you gain a better understanding on your never-ending thoughts. Especially during frustrating times, its important to stop, relax, and go out with yourself. It sounds funky, but its truly about soul searching and feeling comfortable and good about yourself. After all, you are the one you know best and the only way to talk to yourself is by putting a time out on everything else.
Usually when I do this, I take a book or drawing pad with me and buy a cup of coffee. I sit down, look around and ponder on the people that pass by. I think about what they must be thinking, where they are going, and how I would love to hear some words of wisdom from them. I take this time to forget about my worries and truly talk to myself. Along little laughs of realizing how crazy I must look or sound by saying this, I get to know myself better. I ask myself questions such as what I want to do today? What is one goal I need to get done this week?
These little questions go far because your mind truly responds back to your inner desires. Be honest with yourself, no one is judging. Enjoy the silence and the beauty of being alone. Breathe the air with easy and a clear mind. This doesn't even have to be an hour of your day it can even be thirty minutes.
So don't be afraid to take yourself out to eat. $5-15 dollars can go a long way. It feeds your tummy and soul and while you are in the process of this personal conversation, don't forget to always acknowledge your beauty, strength, and power to change yourself.
Remember to pursue passionately the best version of yourself.
Until Next Time,
Ria
